Edwiser RemUI Page Builder Migration Guide

Introduction:

This guide provides a walkthrough of the migration process, enabling you to leverage the enhanced capabilities of the unified page builder. Please ensure that you possess administrative access to your Moodle site before proceeding.

 

Updating to new page builder:

Check the current version of the Edwiser RemUI theme and Page Builder Plugins. To utilize the new page builder features, you must be using the following versions or above:

  • Edwiser RemUI theme 4.0.11, 4.1.5, 4.2.1 (As per your Moodle version)
  • Local Edwiser Page Builder: 4.2.0
  • Block Edwiser Advanced Block: v4.2.0
  • Filter Page Builder: 4.2.0
  • Local Homepage Builder: 4.1.3

ℹ️ Subsequently, check Site Admin → Plugins → Plugins Overview → Additional Plugins to validate the successful update.

Migrate current home page designs and content to the page builder:

  1. Log in to your Moodle instance as a Site Administrator.
  2. Navigate to Site Admin → Appearance → Themes → Edwiser RemUI → Homepage 
  3. Click on Migrate homepage design

4. Once the migration is completed, visit the Home page and make changes if required using the all-new page builder. Link to the page builder documentation

 

Note: This method will maintain your current design and content on the design

Migrate to redesign the home page from scratch:

  1. Log in to your Moodle instance as a Site Administrator.
  2. Navigate to Site Admin → Appearance → Themes → Edwiser RemUI → Homepage
  3. Select the front page design to Page Builder

4. Once done visit the Home page and start designing the page. Page builder Documentation
