Adding Google reCAPTCHA

Prevent spam entries from abusing your WordPress sign-up form with fake sign-ups by installing Google reCAPTCHA. This adds an “I’m not a robot” checkbox to the bottom of your form, which ensures everyone who signs up for your list is a real person.

*Feature only available with WordPress Edwiser Bridge 2.2.5 and above.

*Feature only available on Edwiser Bridge’s Login/Registration (/user-account/) page.

*Unavailable in WooCommerce /my-account/ page.

*Feature only available on the WordPress endpoint.

How to install Google reCAPTCHA in your sign-up form.

You need to have a Google account to use Google reCAPTCHA. If you don’t have one, sign up for one: it’s free.

Go to http://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin ➜ Log into your Google account and click Next. Once logged in, you will be redirected to this page (Image Below). And you will have to fill in the details. (reCAPTCHA v2 and v3 both are compatible with Edwiser Bridge’s login/registration page.)

Please check the screengrab below.

Difference between reCAPTCHA v2 & v3

reCAPTCHA v2 verifies if an interaction is legitimate with the “I am not a robot” checkbox and invisible reCAPTCHA badge challenges.

reCAPTCHA v3 verifies requests with a score and gives you the ability to take action in the context of your site.
