Steps to Install the Plugin for First-Time Users

A. Install the Moodle Edwiser Bridge Plugin on your Moodle site.

  1. Download the plugin zip file from the order email or Edwiser Bridge My-Account Page.
  2. Go to Moodle Site Administration ➜ Plugins ➜ Install Plugins
  3. Upload the plugin zip file.
  4. Hit Install, and Follow the instructions from Moodle.

B. Install Edwiser Bridge on the WordPress site

  1. Either download the plugin from wordpress.org or from Edwiser’s My Account Page.

C. After installation, the setup wizard will be launched (if you already have the Free plugin and are setting up the Pro plugin for the first time, you can launch the setup wizard from Edwiser Bridge Settings)

D. Select “Both, Edwiser Bridge FREE and PRO.

E. On the first screen, “Edwiser Bridge FREE plugin installation guide,” it will ask for Moodle plugin installation; if you haven’t installed the Moodle plugin yet, please install it (see point a), then hit continue the step.

F. Screen “Edwiser Bridge FREE Moodle plugin configuration”

G. This screen will redirect you to the Moodle Site Setup Wizard. On the first screen, it will show the installation guide, Hit Continue the setup

H. Screen “Edwiser Bridge: Moodle Plugin configuration”

  • ➥ This is to set up mandatory settings for the Edwiser Bridge’s connectivity.

➥Clicking “Enable the Settings” will automatically enable all mandatory settings. When you see a success message, hit the “Continue the setup” button.

I. Screen “Setting up Web service”

  1. This page is to create a Moodle web service.
  2. Select the “Create new web service option and enter the name of the web service. Eg. edwiser-bridge
  3. Hit the “Continue the setup” button, it will create a new web service for you.

J. Screen “WordPress site details”, Enter your WordPress site name and URL here:

K. Screen “Check permalink structure”, Follow the instructions and check your WordPress site’s permalink structure and set it to Post name. Once done, hit Confirmed.”

L. Screen “Test connection between Moodle and WordPress”, Check the WordPress site name and URL, and hit “Test Connection”, If there is no issue with the WordPress site connection, it will show a success message, then Hit the “Continue the setup” button.

M. Screen “Setting up User and Course Sync: This screen is to set data synchronization preferences for WordPress.

➥ Select all (recommended) or select required options
➥ Selected option-type data will be synced to WordPress once that action occurs on the Moodle site.
➥ Hit the “Continue the setup” button

N. Screen “Edwiser Bridge FREE Moodle plugin setup complete”: on this screen, Moodle connection data is shown. Either copy the data somewhere or download it as a credentials file. Then hit the “Continue the setup on WordPress” button, which will redirect you to the WordPress Site.

O. Screen “Connection test between WordPress and Moodle”, Enter or upload the credentials data here and hit the “Test connection” button it will show a success message on a successful Moodle connection Then hit the “Continue the setup” button.

P. Screen “Courses synchronization”, this screen is for syncing all the courses from Moodle to WordPress.

➥ Enabling the checkbox will directly publicize the courses.
➥ Hit the “Synchronize the courses” Button
➥ It will create all Moodle course on the WordPress site
➥ After the success message hit the “Continue the setup” button

Q. Screen “User synchronizationScreen, This Screen will Sync WordPress users with Moodle and link their account if already exists or create a new one for them if not.

➥ Enabling the checkbox will send emails to WordPress user for their newly generated Moodle account creds,
➥ Hit “Synchronize users & notify”

R. Screen “Recommended settings” This page if for recommended settings for Edwiser Bridge.

➥ Enable User registration will allow users to create new accounts from the Edwiser Bridge user account page

.➥User Account Page – select the user account page on WordPress, by default Edwiser creates a new page

➥ Hit the “Save settings” button

S. Your Edwiser Bridge Free plugin setup is complete, Hit the “Start Edwiser Bridge PRO Setup” button in the success popup shown.

T. First Screen is for the instruction, if you have already purchased the Edwiser Bridge Pro plugin hit the “Continue the setup” Button

U. Screen “Edwiser Bridge PRO License setup”

➥ Enter Your License key here
➥ Setup Wizard will automatically check if your key is valid for the Edwiser Bridge PRO license.
➥Hit the “Install plugins” button, it will install the pro plugin and activate it.
➥ Hit the “Continue the setup” button once the plugin is installed and activated.

V. Screen “Enable/Disable the Edwiser Bridge PRO WordPress features”, Here you can select which PRO features you want to activate in your pro plugin, after selecting the required features hit the “Save settings” button

W. Screen “Activate Edwiser Bridge Pro Features on Moodle”, and activate the Edwiser Bridge Pro license key on the Moodle Site also.

➥ Get Your license key from Edwiser my account page
➥ Click on “Insert the new Moodle version license key. Click here”
➥ It will redirect you to Moodle Edwiser licensing page, Enter your Moodle Edwiser Bridge PRO licence key and activate it
➥ After activation come back to the setup wizard tab and hit the “Continue the setup” button

X. Screen “Single Sign On setup”, Follow the instructions and generate the SSO secret key. and copy and paste here, then Hit the “Verify token” button, and on success, hit the “Continue the setup” button

Y. Screen “WooCommerce product creation”, This will create Moodle courses as Woocommerce Products, Hit Create.

Z. Screen “Edwiser Bridge PRO plugin settings”,

➥ Course archive page – if you want to hide or show the archive page for the course
➥ Hit the “Save Settings” button

Your Pro Plugin Setup is complete, Once you hit the “Continue” button you will be redirected to the Woocommerce Products page where you can set up course prices and other related things for your newly created Moodle course products
