Hence, here we are, all over again, with an innovative update to Edwiser RemUI, your go-to Moodle theme! The new versions being Edwiser RemUI 3.5.1 (Moodle versions 3.5 and 3.5+) and Edwiser RemUI 3.4.3 (Moodle 3.4).

What’s this update all about? What’s so special about it?

This update basically gives you a free ticket to a world of “Complexity Simplified”. With an all-new Drag & Drop feature of Edwiser RemUI Dashboard, Innovate, Imagine and Implement!

The same old customization, reduced efforts, lesser time, increased productivity.

Drag and Drop – Customization Simplified

With the new Drag and Drop functionality, you can customize your Dashboard a lot more conveniently, according to your needs and wants. Considering how differing and contrasting individual needs can be, when it comes to setting up an LMS via Moodle, versatility is probably the most important factor that needs to be considered. The Drag and Drop feature lets you customize the looks and feel of your Moodle LMS, depending on the theme, structure, and purpose.

So when we say how Edwiser always strives to bring better UI/UX for its patrons, we also create substance for the same.

Additional Course Formats – Options Galore

Living on the lines of “improvise and stretch”, we at Edwiser thought of introducing compatibility for more course formats. What it would essentially do is, offer a variety of course layouts, for your LMS courses.

With a plethora of course format options, this update offers you the freedom of experimentation. As you try out different formats, our latest update helps you get insights on which format would work best for you.

Here is the list of course formats that will be supported by us:

Grid Format –

A modular and visual course format. Hides all topics and creates a grid of icons (one for each topic) with short titles. Clicking on an icon brings up the content from the corresponding topic.

OneTopic Format –

OneTopic format provides a tabbed format (similar to the Animated Slide and Tabbed formats). The tabs can each have a custom name (so you can increase the navigability of your courses with text cues). Furthermore, the tabbed format is automatically formatted by the number of course topics you have. This format is based on the Moodle standard format: “Topics”. It accepts edition by AJAX.

Buttons Format –

Buttons is a course format that creates a menu with buttons to access the sections, one by one.

Flexible Sections Format –

Organises course content in any number of sections that can be nested. Furthermore, you can expand or collapse each section in this course format.

Board (Grids & Blocks) –

Board (Grids and Blocks) is a course format in grid for 2.8 and Plus versions of Moodle which offers you full flexibility between columns and sections. You can not just choose number of columns and sections, but also adjust desirable width for the same.

Tabs Course Format –

The Tabs Course Format displays sections as numbered tabs. The number of tabs is unlimited. Besides that, you can also customize the colour settings (text, hover, background, etc).

Yes, You! Moodlers in Poland & Spain, guess what? We now have Polish and Spanish translations of Edwiser RemUI! This update includes the Polish and Spanish language files. This leap in our reach was possible, thanks to generous contributions by Pawel Badura – from 2edu.pl and Alvaro Jaso – from welcomenext.com
