The License Status tab is where you enter and manage your Edwiser Mobile App license key.
Activating a Premium License
- Go to the License Status tab.
- Find the License Key field.
- Type or paste your license key (provided by Edwiser when you purchased the Premium plan).
- Click Activate License.
- Wait a few seconds. The plugin will connect to Edwiser’s license server and verify your key.
- If successful, you will see a green Active badge.
Understanding License Status
| Status | What It Means | What to Do |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Your Premium license is valid and current. | Nothing — enjoy Premium features! |
| Expired | Your subscription period has ended. | Click Renew License to extend your subscription. |
| Not Active | No license key has been entered. | Enter a license key and click Activate License. |
| Invalid | The key is not recognized. | Double-check the key and try again. |
| Disabled | The key was revoked by Edwiser. | Contact Edwiser support. |
| No Activations Left | The key is already used on too many sites. | Deactivate it from another site, or contact Edwiser to add more activations. |
Deactivating a License
If you need to move your license to a different Moodle site:
- Go to the License Status tab.
- Click Deactivate License.
- The license is released, and your site returns to the Free plan.
- You can now activate the same key on your new site.
When to deactivate:
- You are migrating to a new domain.
- You want to transfer the license to a different Moodle installation.
- You are closing the current site.
What Happens If My License Expires?
If your Premium license expires or is deactivated:
- Your site automatically switches back to the Free plan.
- Learners can only download 3 courses offline.
- Push notifications are limited to 3,000.
- App branding sync and Google Analytics stop working.
- The app dashboard will show an option to renew or upgrade.
Your data is safe. Learners can still use the app; they just return to Free plan limits.
